I will not however volunteer for next years show as I will be a police officer working in the communication section. I will use the skills and experience learnt from Viva La Gong to better myself in my career choice.

I thank Paolo for the opportunity and all the Viva La Gong staff who took me on board.
A few suggestions for next years volunteers.
Don't make them work so long, after all they are volunteering, and assign designated lunch breaks for all workers.

Confirm work placement Viva La Gong

The job I did for work experience was a volunteer at Viva La Gong. To obtain that job I went meetings to see what position I was going to be doing. I worked personally with Palao, who was our coordinator.

In my time at Viva La Gong I worked two roles. Usher and assistant stage manager.
My first task was to talk to customers, take their tickets and take them to their seats. In this role I learned to communicate to all types of people, some drunk and some aggressive but it is a skill that I can use in my future job being a police officer. Coming with this job I had be taken through a fire course in case of an emergency.

The second job was stage assistant, which was simply assisting the stage manager. Whatever Hamish wanted I would go get it and help him in anyway possible. Clearing the stage calming performers down and helping them with their items.

In doing these roles at Viva La Gong I believe as helped me more as a person to complete tasks and function in the workforce. I received great feedback off Palao and Hamish saying that I was a great help and an enthusiastic worker.

Although the hours of the job were not great the experience and skills learnt will benefit me in my future career decision.
